The Easy Path Towards a Straighter Smile

Believe it or not, a straighter smile is also a healthier one. When the teeth are properly aligned, it can simultaneously improve your appearance and your oral health. Luckily, you no longer have to rely on metal wires and brackets to get the beautiful grin you’ve always dreamed of. With ClearCorrect, you can straighten your teeth in a way that’s virtually unnoticeable. If you’d like to find out whether or not this orthodontic solution is right for you, continue reading or give our office a call today!

How ClearCorrect Works

ClearCorrect uses a series of clear aligners to gently move your teeth into proper alignment. They apply a small amount of pressure to a portion of your smile at a time until the entire thing is straightened. Each set of plastic trays is worn for a predetermined amount of time, usually about two weeks. One of the benefits of this modern orthodontic treatment is that you won’t need to visit our office as often as you would with traditional braces. You’ll only need to come in every six weeks or so to pick up your new aligners and ensure everything is going according to plan.

Indications for ClearCorrect

Over the years, ClearCorrect has improved in its ability to correct orthodontic issues. Nowadays, it can fix a wide range of dental problems, including:

Crowded Teeth

If your mouth feels too small to accommodate your teeth, you may have crowding. It’s incredibly important to address it as it can increase your risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Fortunately, ClearCorrect can prevent those health issues by shifting your teeth into proper alignment.

Gaps Between Teeth

Do you have gaps in your smile? ClearCorrect can close them to prevent food particles from getting caught in between them. The clear aligners will help push your teeth back into a healthier position.

Bite Alignment

A misaligned bite can affect basic functions like chewing, causing damage to certain areas of your mouth. Luckily, ClearCorrect can correct issues such as underbites, overbites, and crossbites.

Understanding the Cost of ClearCorrect

Several factors can influence the total cost of ClearCorrect in Newburyport. That’s why we can’t provide you with an accurate estimate of the cost online. The good news is that we can share some helpful information on the topic in the meantime, including the different financial solutions that can make the price more affordable. So, read on if you want to learn more on the topic!

Factors That Affect the Cost of ClearCorrect

First, we need to determine if you’re a good candidate for clear aligners in Newburyport. If the answer is “yes,” then we will move on to the next step: creating your custom treatment plan. In the process, we will determine:

  • The extent of your dental misalignment
  • If any preliminary treatments are required
  • If single-arch treatment is possible
  • How many aligners must be made
  • The type of retainer that’s needed

Once we have all of this information, we can provide you with a price estimate. We will also share what you can do to avoid additional fees coming up, starting with wearing your aligners for a minimum of 20 hours a day and extending to taking good care of your smile so your teeth and gums stay healthy.

ClearCorrect Vs. Mail-Order Aligners: Which Costs More?

Usually, mail-order alternatives are cheaper. This is often the case because they bypass the initial exam and have patients take their own impressions (which is difficult to do correctly). There are even some cases where they don’t hire licensed dental professionals to oversee the teeth-straightening process. That’s why it’s best to invest your valuable time and money on ClearCorrect instead.

Does Dental Insurance Cover ClearCorrect?

Some dental plans do include an orthodontic benefit. If that’s the case for you, then you may not have to pay for the cost of ClearCorrect entirely out of pocket! So, it’s worth taking the time to read through the fine print on yours and familiarize yourself with your coverage. Since we accept most PPO insurance plans, you can provide us with your membership information when you call to schedule your appointment, too.

Options for Making ClearCorrect Affordable

Don’t let a lack of dental insurance stop you from scheduling an appointment with one of our dedicated dentists to discuss clear aligners. After all, that’s not the only way you can save! We also welcome flexible payment plans with CareCredit. That way, you can break up the total cost into more budget-friendly installments instead of paying for the entire thing in one lump sum.

ClearCorrect FAQs

QHow Long Does ClearCorrect Take?

Every smile is different, so ClearCorrect treatment time can vary from patient to patient. On average, most adults complete their clear aligner treatment in about 12 to 18 months. Very simple cases may finish sooner, while more complex bite or spacing issues can take a bit longer. The total timeframe depends on the issues being treated and your level of compliance.

During your consultation for ClearCorrect in Newburyport, we’ll take digital impressions, review your goals, and give you a personalized estimate of how long your treatment should take from start to finish.

QDoes ClearCorrect Hurt?

ClearCorrect aligners use gentle, steady pressure to move your teeth, so it’s normal to feel some mild soreness—especially when you switch to a new set of trays. Most patients describe it as a feeling of “tightness” rather than sharp pain, and it usually goes away after a day or two.

There are several ways to mitigate the discomfort, including over-the-counter pain relievers and a temporary soft diet after putting in a new tray. You can also try drinking cold water and switching to each new aligner before bed, so you sleep through the worst of it.

QWhat if My ClearCorrect Broke?

If one of your ClearCorrect aligners cracks or breaks, don’t panic—but don’t ignore it either. First, check how bad the damage is. If it’s a small crack and the aligner still fits snugly, you may be able to wear it until you speak with our dental experts. If it’s broken in half or feels sharp or loose, stop wearing it and call our Newburyport team right away.

Once we see you, we’ll check the damage and let you know whether to go back to your previous tray, move ahead to the next one, or wait for a replacement.

QHow Do I Clean My ClearCorrect?

Keeping your ClearCorrect aligners clean is an important part of maintaining both your oral health and the appearance of your trays. After meals on the go, rinse them with lukewarm water. When you’re at home, brush them gently with a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented liquid soap at least once a day. You can also use aligner-safe cleansers to soak them a couple of times a week for a deeper clean.

When cleaning, avoid hot water, which can warp the plastic, and skip abrasive toothpastes that can scratch or cloud the aligners. Lastly, always store them in their case when they aren’t in your mouth.
