Arrival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s been a while since your last dental appointment, be sure to allow plenty of time to check in and fill in any forms that may need to be updated. Oral Cancer Screening<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each year, approximately 54,000 new cases of oral cancer are diagnosed, with nearly 80 percent of those first spotted by a dentist.  During your oral cancer screening, they will look for any abnormal lesions, lumps, or bumps in your mouth and on your lips. They will also palpate your neck and lymph nodes. These exams are fast and painless and truly could save your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oral Examination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations! You made it to the final step- the dental exam. This portion of your visit will be performed by your dentist, who will take a closer look at your teeth, gums, and jaw. If they locate any cavities, gum disease, or any other abnormalities, they will discuss these with you and provide you with a detailed treatment plan to correct them. Then, you\u2019ll be free to check out. This is when you can pay your co-pay and book your follow-up appointment for your next checkup and cleaning or any necessary restorations discussed during your exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
